About the Artist
Margaret Howard is a multi-dimensional artist with an eye for perfection, creative solutions and a unique cross-cultural appreciation. She has worked with contemporary artists such as Eric Jiaju Lee, Pamela Matsuda-Dunn and studied under Emily Mason for several years. Her paintings were described as resembling "the early works of my friend Bill DeKooning" by Mason. M. Howard has over ten years of experience in the field of printing work for PR activities and marketing strategies for museums and cultural institutions such as the Dahesh Museum of Art and The Deutsche Haus at NYU.
She also has extensive experience in portrait and mural paintings on the east and west coasts of the United States and in Europe. After returning from Ireland and European travels, M. Howard lives in Los Angeles and has worked diligently to capture the intimate cultures of Europe and the fascinating people and landscapes of various places including Singapore, Turkey and Germany. The last public international exhibition and sale of her work was at the European exhibition Artbreit 2010 in Marktbreit, Bavaria. She was working on new series focused on musical influence based on Kandinsky's studies in her studio in Venice, California. She is currently working on a series inspired by the 10th Mountain Division in Colorado.
